This week at DFC: September 5 – Labor Day

This Labor Day Sunday, we’ll look at Psalm 84 – Just One Day.

Longings are powerful, maybe more powerful than logic or rules or boundaries.  We know some of those yearnings can get us into trouble.  They need to be checked.  But when the capacity for longing is extinguished, well, the dark clouds form over a life. When longings live, our days are full.

The Psalms are filled with longings.  They are God’s way of energizing our sense of purpose.  They are God’s gift.

The ultimate longing is planted in every heart: the longing for God.  To know.  To sense that presence.  To be caught up in the heart and mind of the LORD God.

Join us for worship, praise and study.  Let the Psalm speak.  Just one day.
